Sophia Brion-Meisels, LICSW || Director, Trinity@McCormack

Sophia joined Trinity Boston Foundation in August of 2013. She has worked with youth and families in a variety of settings for over 10 years.  Sophia obtained her MSW from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in 2013, where she earned the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.  Since graduation, Sophia has focused her work on holistically supporting youth who face toxic stress and complex trauma and creating pathways to, and through, educational systems for youth experiencing trauma-based challenges.  As a social worker, Sophia brings her passion for social justice into the curriculum and model development of the Trinity@McCormack program.  Her responsibilities include managing the Trinity@McCormack program, where she supervises two clinicians and two clinician interns who provide Trauma-informed individual and group counseling to a caseload of 20 students. In addition, Sophia facilitates staff trainings and in-vivo support to teachers at the McCormack school and oversees the implementation of Trauma-informed re-regulation spaces for students.  Sophia has been a member of the REAL Alliance since 2013.
