The time spent with Trinity Boston Connects, coupled with experience working with Youth Guidance and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, inspired his career focused on the development of youth, inspiring the next generations to continue to be curious and seek new pathways of growth.</p><p>Tyler earned a BA in English from Suffolk University and is excited to be a part of the TBC team as the Youth Development &amp; Leadership Coordinator. In his free time, he enjoys writing poetry, going to local film festivals and open mics, or playing sports.</p>								</div>

Her work aims to support youth who share her story and aspects of her identity. She joined Trinity Boston Connects first as a 9th grade supervisor with TEEP and then as a Restorative Practices Assistant Manager in the fall of 2025. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work and has an interest in working with young adults, groups, and families. Given the correlation between her studies and her work with TBC, she has taken an active role in developing programing for our TEEP summer program as well as connecting with the youth in our Sole Train Sites. Outside of work, Shandira likes to read, write, and crochet.</p>								</div>

<p><strong>Ebi D. Okara, Ed.D. ||</strong> Licensed Psychologist, Founder &amp; Owner of Metis Psychological Associates, LLC</p>
<p>Dr. Ebi D. Okara is the founder and owner of Metis Psychological Associates, LLC., a private mental health group practice, which was established in 2009 and has locations in both Randolph and Medfield, MA. He has been a clinical psychologist for over 25 years. He completed his psychology internship at the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center (BMC). After his internship, he completed a Forensic Mental Health post-doctoral fellowship (part-time) at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.</p>
<p>Dr. Okara was born and raised in Nigeria until he immigrated to the United States to study at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where he graduated with a BA in Biology. He subsequently received his master’s and doctorate degrees in Psychology from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. He has been providing individual, couples, family and marital therapy at Metis Psychological Associates, LLC, as a Licensed Psychologist Provider since he founded the practice in 2009.</p>
<p>Dr. Okara has been a member of Trinity Episcopal Church Boston for over three decades where he has served on the Vestry and is currently an Usher. He is very active in his community and served on the Board of Directors of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Boards of Envision Bank Charitable Foundation and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton. Dr. Okara is married and the father of an adult son. He and his wife live in Canton, MA.</p>								</div>

<p>As a Director with the Business Development &amp; Licensing team, Mass General Brigham (MGB), Sherene Shenouda, is responsible for intellectual property management and commercialization of technologies developed by clinicians and researchers at McLean Hospital and the MGH department of psychiatry. Prior to joining MGB Innovation in 2019, Sherene gained broad entrepreneurial and leadership experiences, including co-founding a technology start-up. Sherene has a broad basic and clinical research background obtained both from her PhD in physiology and post-doctoral work at Boston University School of Medicine. She also received her MBA with an emphasis in business analytics and entrepreneurship from Babson College. Sherene lives in Boston and has volunteered at several youth-serving organizations.</p>								</div>

Steven has extensive experience in nonprofit organizations focused on youth engagement, development, and empowerment. He has worked with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Madison Park Development Corporation, and the Boys and Girls Club, making a positive impact in various communities throughout Boston.</p><p>Steven earned his BA in Journalism and Communications, with a minor in African American Studies, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. As the Youth Development &amp; Leadership (YDL) Coordinator at TBC, he is excited to assist with the coordination and execution of day-to-day program logistics. In his free time, Steven enjoys attending local concerts and watching New England sports teams.</p>								</div>

As the Leadership and Development Manager at Trinity Boston Connects, he is committed to empowering Boston’s youth and families through leadership development, strategic partnerships, and equity-focused programming. He has worked extensively throughout New Hampshire, across MetroWest Massachusetts, and now in Boston, leading programs that empower young people, strengthen communities, and expand access to opportunities. Dylan has successfully expanded student engagement initiatives, led professional development for educators and mentors, and built strong community partnerships to increase access to resources. <p><strong>William Tomlinson, PhD ||</strong> Director, Software &amp; Application Innovation Lab (SAIL), Boston University</p>
<p>William Tomlinson is a proven servant technical leader with over a decade of industry experience in hardware and software development and leading large-scale interdisciplinary technical programs. Currently, William is the Director of the Software &amp; Application Innovation Lab (SAIL), Boston University’s professionally staffed software engineering firm. In this capacity, William is responsible for overseeing operations, shaping, and implementing long-term strategic plans and managing organizational growth while seeking to develop new opportunities and partnerships. Before joining SAIL, William held the roles of Principal Engineer and Group Leader (technical manager) for the Embedded &amp; Comm. Systems Group at Draper Laboratory (Cambridge, MA). Here he demonstrated proficiency in business development, strategic planning, program management, and developing mission-critical systems for wireless communications. William received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University and an M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and North Carolina A&amp;T State University, respectively.</p>								</div>

She joins us from a line of nonprofit work with a focus on youth engagement, youth empowerment, and youth development. She earned her BA in Sociology and Philosophy, and a minor in Education at St. Lawrence University. Emily loves functional chaos and thrives in busy settings. She enjoys all things outdoors &#8211; hiking, swimming, camping, etc., loves finding and making a new recipe, tending to her plants, traveling, a good movie, and spending time with her friends and loved ones. She loves all things community oriented, building and nurturing, and feels so lucky to be surrounded by the people she has in her life. She is excited to be a part of TBC as the Operations Specialist &#8211; supporting on cross-departmental tasks and being even just a small piece of the large impact this organization has on our community! In her free time, you can find her in the Fells with her dog Quillo, knitting on the couch with her cat Lee, or on an adventure with her partner Cole. </p>								</div>

Since graduating in 2002, Dr. Tyrell has been employed at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital providing services on the psychiatric units of the Department of Mental Health, which is commonly referred to as Metro Boston Mental Health Units (MBMHU). Dr. Tyrell grew up in the Caribbean and pursued undergraduate studies at the University of the Virgin Islands where he graduated with a BA in Psychology. Soon thereafter, he immigrated to the Boston area and worked primarily in human services (residential care), before entering the master’s level counselor training program at University of Massachusetts/Boston. Dr. Tyrell earned his doctoral degree from Boston College.</p><p>In his clinical work, Dr. Tyrell is fascinated with the life stories that help individuals to understand where they come from and where they are going. Using a cognitive behavioral approach, he empowers clients to deconstruct the invalidating experiences and to frame them in a manner that brings insight, healing, and the power to forge ahead and successfully embrace life’s challenges.</p>								</div>

Cooke previously served as Deputy Commissioner for the Department in 2020. Before that, she served as General Counsel for the Department for almost six years, providing legal and strategic counsel and guiding the department through critical public health issues including the COVID-19 and vaping public health emergencies, the opioid epidemic, Title X and family planning funding, EEE and West Nile Virus outbreaks, and Long-Term Care Facility oversight.</p><p>Prior to DPH, Cooke led the Health Care Division in the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General where she worked to eliminate barriers to mental health parity. Her prior legal work focused on consumer protection issues including unfair lending practices and financial and health data security.<br />Cooke has a demonstrated commitment to public health and has dedicated her legal career to public service in fields as varied as child welfare, domestic violence, and civil rights. She holds a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, and a BA degree from Mount Holyoke College.</p>								</div>
