Celia Mercer || Assistant Director, New Business Development & Membership Engagement, Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship Celia is a highly accomplished sales executive with over 30 years of experience in business development, consultative sales, strategic alliances management, and strategic planning. She currently serves as director of business development at the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. The center offers education and resources to executives working to align their company’s environmental, social, governance (ESG), and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts with corporate strategy. Celia began her sales career at IBM and has held positions as a consultant in the banking and financial services industries, founded a real estate brokerage company, and was a senior sales manager in the healthcare industry for 12 years. Celia was born in the Dominican Republic, moved to the South Bronx at the age of eight, attended the Bronx High School of Science, and graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts and Science. She is currently earning an MBA at the Boston College Carroll School of Management. Her experience as an immigrant in this country has taught her that it truly takes a village to raise a child. She has done volunteer work with Sociedad Latina and the AHANA program at Boston College and has served as a mentor to African American and Latino youth. Celia has four children, three grandchildren, and currently lives with her husband, Scott, in Canton.
