Dan Ross || Lead Partner, Social Venture Partners Boston
Since 2008, when Dan retired from his business career, he has devoted his time to work in the non-profit sector. At Social Venture Partners Boston (SVP), he has worked with 9 different non-profit grantees, serving as Lead Partner or co-lead at 3 of them, including at Trinity Boston Connects. He also served on the SVP Board for 7 years, including 3 years as Board Chair. Dan also participated in Harvard Business School’s Community Action Partners (CAP) program for 8 years and served on the CAP Board. Prior to retirement, Dan enjoyed a 30-year career in and around the transportation industry that included 10 years with a trucking company, 10 years of strategy consulting, and 10 years in the logistics outsourcing industry. During that career, Dan helped companies grow through roles in operations, finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and project management. Dan earned his B.A. from Yale and his M.B.A. from Harvard. Among Dan’s favorite pastimes are recreational cycling, international travel with his wife, and keeping up with the exploits of their three grown children and five grandchildren.
