Sole Train is a program of Trinity Boston Connects (TBC) that fosters mentorship, goal setting, and community-building through noncompetitive running 2-3 times a week, after school. Join Sole Train’s Young and Old Soles on Saturday, October 25th, for an energized afternoon of community, fun, and sole at the Sole Train 5K! Check out our race info below to learn how you can get in on the action. Your participation raises funds to support our year-round programming, currently reaching 200+ Young Soles and 50 Old Soles.

Getting to Shattuck Picnic Grove (Franklin Park)

MBTA

0.7 mile walk from the Forest Hills Station

By Bus: Bus# 16, 32, 34, 36, 195 Circuit Dr @ Shattuck Hospital

Driving

Parking Entrance:

Shattuck Picnic Grove is near the Forest Hills Cemetery side of Franklin Park, but you can use any park entrance and take Circuit Drive to get there.

Parking:

Parking available in Franklin Park (the later you arrive, the more you may need to walk to reach Shattuck Picnic Grove) and on surrounding city streets.

FAQ

Where do I go when I arrive? 

There will be a greeter station to direct you when you arrive, and there will be volunteers available to answer any questions you may have.

Can I get water?

There will be a water stop on the course by the Golf Clubhouse, as well as at the start/finish line.

Is there any food provided?

Yes! Pre-Race: Granola bars will be available for a pre-race snack. Post-Race: Pizza! 

What if I need to use the restroom? 

Two porta-potties will be available at the gathering area.

What do I do with my things while I’m walking/running? 

Bag check will be available near bib pickup.

What is there to do before/after the race?

Pre-Race: Participate in our pre-race warm-up or just enjoy the music and community joy! Post-Race: Have a slice of pizza, cheer the runners in, and congratulate our award winners!
