Jill Norton || Education Consultant, Clark Street Consulting
Jill has spent the past 25 years working to improve public education beginning as an elementary and Montessori teacher, leading a non-profit think tank focused on more equitable Massachusetts education policies, and supporting educators through professional development. She has served as senior policy adviser to three Massachusetts Secretaries of Education, consulted to and advised state education agencies as Director of Education Policy at AbtAssociates, and now consults to education nonprofits in Massachusetts and nationally through Clark Street Consulting, which she founded. Jill’s lifelong obsession is figuring out how public education systems can level the playing field for all kids. Jill has been a parishioner at Trinity Church in the City of Boston for nearly 20 years where she’s volunteered in Children’s Ministries, co-chaired the Rector Search Committee, and served as Junior Warden on the Vestry. Jill and her husband are the parents of two school-aged boys and can often be found cheering them on at rinks and fields throughout the Boston area. Jill received her bachelors in elementary education from Michigan State University and masters in education policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she has also worked as a teaching fellow.
