Charles L. George || Senior Vice President, Compass

A seasoned Real Estate Broker, Charles began selling residential and commercial real estate in 2002, accumulating seven years of experience before opening the doors of his own brokerage in 2009. Since then, he and his highly experienced team of agents have sold over $250 million in real estate across the state of Massachusetts. In addition to selling properties, Charles continues to work with several local developers renovating homes, converting multi-unit buildings to condos, and building out commercial spaces for lease.

While he is still a Southerner at heart, Charles moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University College of Engineering. Prior to working in real estate, Charles worked in the technology sector where he amassed over fifteen years of corporate experience in the software development and banking industries. During this time, he held several managerial and leadership positions with companies such as IBM, Oracle Software, and State Street.

Charles’ commitment to his community has shown through his work with a number of local organizations that aim to better the lives of those whose circumstances have put them at a disadvantage. He is an active member of the Concerned Black Men of Massachusetts and its core program, The Paul Robeson Institute for Positive Self Development, where he works with at-risk young men. He has also worked with a number of Community Development Corporations (CDC) teaching first-time homebuyer classes and providing essential information and guidance to homeowners that are facing foreclosure. Additionally, Charles has spent time working with Dudley Mainstreet’s Board and the advisory boards for Roxbury Community College and the Old Colony YMCA.
